Patient Spotlight sessions are taken of children who are currently staying at the hospital. Our photographers get to meet these amazing sweeties in their rooms, and in and around the hospital grounds. We love getting to bring in clothing and accessories and see the nurses and doctor’s reactions to seeing them all fixed up!

Meet Blayke!!

If this sweet face doesn’t make you smile I don’t know what will. Blayke’s vibrant personality, and adorable face just won the heart of her photographer!

Down syndrome occurs when children are born with a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21. Having the additional genetic material alters the course of development and causes the characteristics associated with our Sweeties with Down syndrome. Learn the facts HERE.

Charolette :: Glioblastoma

Meet Charlotte!!

In August 2017 Charlotte was diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain tumor). She is just the picture of strength! This strong Sweetie continues to be a happy girl who loves to smile and dance. She loves to play with her big sister and loves her family very much.

Camdyn :: HYPO-PLASTIC LEFT HEART SYNDROME

Meet Camdyn!!

Camdyn was born without the Hypo-plastic left heart syndrome, or without a left ventricle in her heart, and has endured 3 open heart surgeries to help make her heart function, (though it does not function as a normal heart would), and yet, she is bounding with energy and abilities! We are so very blessed! She loves to paint and draw, but especially read. She loves to be outside and is a mix between being girlie and getting outside and getting dirty. Aracelli’s smile brightened up a rainy hospital day. Her photographers enjoyed capturing her light on such a dreary day!

Carlos :: Hydrocephalus, Cerebral palsy, a seizure disordered, visually impaired

Meet Carlos!

Carlos was a 24 week premie who has overcome many obstacles. At birth Doctors did not expect him to survive. Carlos has endured 42 surgeries and has remained a happy kid through it all. Carlos has been diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, Cerebral palsy, a seizure disordered he is visually impaired.
Carlos has an incredibly positive outlook on life and is a blessing to all that get to know him. He loves to hear music, play with a basketball & his favorite T.V. show to listen to is Ridiculousness.

Indyka :: Down Syndrome

MEET INDYKA!
Indy is a little diva who loves to sing and dance! During her photo session with her photographer Indy got the biggest smile whenever they would sing ‘If You’re Happy and You Know It’. She is always on the go, go, go and loves to explore her surroundings.

EZRA :: Bronchomalacia, Pulmonary Hypertension

Meet Ezra!!!

Ezra was born at 25 weeks after mom has preeclampsia during pregnancy. He was hospitalized at Fresno Community and UCSF for a total of 233 days. He endured multiple surgeries, code blue events and episodes where he stopped breathing due to his pulmonary hypertension and bronchomalacia. Since coming home he has learned to crawl and walk. He is a sweet boy who is learning to eat after struggling with an oral aversion. He has overcome a lot and is still growing. He was given a 50% chance of survival at birth and is crushing the odds!

Devon :: Down Syndrome

MEET DEVON!

Devon loved being the center of attention for his Sweet Session. He brought along his pal Woody and squeezed in a detailed dance instruction for both of his photographers. This lovable guy made sure mom and dad actively participated in pictures- until the time came for them to exit the room- when he personally escorted them out to the warehouse so he could have all eyes on him. Devon is full of personality and knows exactly what he likes!

Alejandro :: Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome

MEET ALEJANDRO!

Alejandro stole the hearts of his photographers with his kissable cheeks and little grin! Don’t you agree- he is so ADORABLE! Alejandro was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He has endured 2 surgeries and will need to have another surgery in a few years. While hospitalized, his happy personality caught the attention of all of his nursing staff. HLHS is a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. The left side of the heart does not form correctly during pregnancy. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is just one type of congenital heart defect.

Tommy :: Severe Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Anoxic Brain Damage, Acute Respiratory Failure

MEET THOMAS!

Tommy is a precious little guy with the most kissable cheeks! He has a dreamy grin and amazing dark curls! His brother and sister are wrapped around his finger- it is easy to see that they adore their little brother!
Due to lack of blood and oxygen to the brain, Thomas suffered brain damage. In addition to his brain injury Tommy also battles with acute respiratory failure. Thomas is a fighter and continues to give his big smile and bring tremendous joy to his family!
